Police call for witnesses following fatal motorcycle crash

Police are calling for witnesses following a fatal motorcycle crash in Rosetta this morning.

 

Police and emergency services were called to the crash which occurred on Strathaven Drive, Rosetta, about 10.45am today.

 

Ambulance Tasmania officers attempted to resuscitate the man but sadly, the 17 year old rider of Rosetta died at the scene.

 

Our thoughts are with the man’s family and loved ones at this difficult time.

 

Inspector John Ward, of Glenorchy Police, said that initial investigations indicate the rider appeared to have lost control, and police were calling on any witnesses to the crash to come forward.

 

“If anyone witnessed the crash, or has dash cam footage available, please contact Police or Crime Stoppers,” Inspector Ward said.
