Police charge adult and youths over New Norfolk trail bike offences

Police have charged an adult and three youths and seized four trail bikes following a series of alleged offences in the New Norfolk area.

Sergeant Andrea Richardson said that over the past three weeks New Norfolk police had been targeting unregistered trail bikes being ridden on public streets, committing traffic offences and evading police.

“We have charged one adult and three youths with a total of 20 offences and seized four trail bikes,” Sergeant Richardson said.

“Tasmania Police remains committed to reducing recidivism and enhancing community safety and we’ll  continue to target hooning and unregistered trail bikes in the area.”

Police encourage people to report illegal or anti-social behaviour by phoning police on 131 444 or Triple Zero (000) in an emergency.
