Police investigate drink spiking report in Hobart

Police are investigating a report of drink spiking in Hobart’s CBD over the weekend.

The matter was reported to police yesterday and an investigation is currently underway and it’s not appropriate to comment further at this stage.

However generally speaking, cases of drink-spiking are rare. As always, we encourage people to be vigilant and look after their mates while consuming alcohol and make sure they get home safely.

If anyone believes their drink has spiked, they are urged to seek medical attention as soon as possible and also report the matter to Tasmania Police.
