Police are investigating an armed robbery at Coles Supermarket in Bridgewater around 5.50pm last night.

An adult male entered the Supermarket and selected a quantity of items which he placed in a bag before leaving the store without paying for the items.

On the way out he was approached by staff who had observed his actions. The man produced a knife and threatened staff enabling him to walk out of the supermarket.

Police were called and an investigation was commenced.

No one was injured during the incident.

Investigations are continuing into this matter.

The man is described as being mid 20’s, average build, dark hair and fair complexion.
