Police are investigating the suspicious death of a woman who was found deceased inside her home on Stride Street, Huonville, this morning.

Police were called to the scene at about 4.30am, and following their arrival, the death was determined to be suspicious.

Police, including officers from CIB, Forensics and Uniform, are at the scene conducting examinations into the circumstances surrounding the woman’s death.

A man has been taken into custody to assist police in carrying out their investigations.
