Police are investigating a suspicious fire in Clarendon Vale last night which destroyed a house.

Around 8pm Tasmania Fire Service and Tasmania Police attended a fire at an unoccupied residence on Carslake Street. The residence was destroyed with damage estimated to be in excess of $250,000.

The Tasmania Fire Service Fire Scene Examiner and Tasmania Police are investigating the incident to determine the cause of the fire.
