Police investigation ongoing into firearms discharge in West Hobart

Police are seeking public assistance as part of the ongoing investigation into a firearms discharge incident in West Hobart around 6.20pm last night. 

Early investigations at the scene have determined a firearm was discharged into the front of the residence on Hill Street. 

One of the occupants of the residence was threatened before the suspect left towards Warwick Street. The occupant was not physically injured. 

Last night’s incident occurred at a residence police attended on 4 June in relation to an assault incident.

Police believe both incidents were targeted and involved people know to each other.
