Police investigation ongoing which included Spreyton search yesterday

A planned police investigation, which included a search at a business premises at Spreyton yesterday, is ongoing today.

“A planned police investigation is now in its second day,” said Inspector Kim Steven. 

“Police and partner agencies utilised a number of specialist resources yesterday to conduct a search at a property on Kelcey Tier Road. 

“As part of the search, police seized a number of illegal items including drugs and stolen property.

“This investigation is ongoing and a search at a separate property is being conducted today.” 

The 41-year-old man arrested at the Kelcey Tier Road property yesterday remains in police custody. It is anticipated the man will be interviewed by police later today in relation to several matters including an aggravated assault and drug related offences. At this stage no charges have been laid. 

“Police are committed to targeting crime in our community and charging offenders,” said Inspector Steven.
