Police release photos of people of interest in incident

Tasmania Police has released photos of two people of interest following an incident in which a man was stabbed in Glenorchy.

 

Glenorchy CIB is currently investigating an aggravated armed robbery that occurred on the evening of Tuesday 2 October at Glenorchy.

 

It is believed that the two men, Angus and Jake Ford, may be able to assist police with their enquiries.

 

Police have established that there was an altercation between several men at the address, during which time one of those men sustained a non-life-threatening knife wound. It is understood that a firearm was discharged inside the home during the altercation.

 

The parties are believed to be known to one another and police are following a specific line of inquiry.

 

Extensive searches have occurred over the past 24 hours at various addresses across the greater Hobart area in order to locate the offenders.

 

A quantity of drugs and a number of stolen firearms have been located at two of those addresses.

 

Six people will face charges arising from offences detected at those addresses. These include:

  • A 21 year old from Glenorchy man for drug related charges
  • A 22 year old Glenorchy man for drug and firearms related charges
  • A 32 year old Goodwood woman for firearm related charges
  • A 26 year old Goodwood man for drug related charges

 

Two other people will be summonsed on minor drug charges.
