Police seek information over crimes committed in Port Sorell

Police are seeking assistance from the public for any information regarding a series of burglaries and motor vehicle stealings committed in the Port Sorell area overnight (8-9 February 2023).

One stolen motor vehicle was recovered by police in East Devonport this morning. Police are seeking the whereabouts of another stolen motor vehicle – a 2008 Grey Toyota Prado Landcruiser registration A40BM.

The Devonport Criminal Investigation Branch are currently investigating the crimes, which appear to be predominantly targeted at vacant homes and vehicles.  

“Although we are following a specific line of enquiry, we would like to speak to anyone who has information in relation to these crimes including any information that will assist in locating the stolen vehicle,” said Detective Acting Sergeant Jeremy Williams.
