Police seize $40,000 worth of property during Newstead search
Police have seized more than $40,000 worth of property following a planned search at Newstead.
Members of Launceston Uniform searched a shed on Thursday as part of an ongoing investigation into recent motor vehicle burglaries, locating a significant quantity of power tools and trade equipment.
Investigations are continuing, and police are again reminding owners to ensure their vehicles and valuables are secure at all times.
Anyone who has had tools or equipment stolen recently should report it to police.
To deter thieves and help police return property, owners should mark power tools with identifying features.
Anyone with information in relation to the burglaries, or who has been offered cheap tools, is also urged to contact Launceston CIB on 131 444 or Crime Stoppers anonymously at crimestopperstas.com.au or 1800 333 000.
