Reward for murder information

The State Government and Tasmania Police are announcing a reward of $50,000 for information leading to the apprehension and conviction of the person or persons responsible for the murder of Campbell Town man, Shane Geoffrey Barker.

Mr Barker was shot several times with a .22 firearm, at his home in East Street on the evening of Sunday August 2, 2009.

Police have conducted an extensive investigation into the murder, and are still following several lines of enquiry, but to date no person has been charged.

Investigators are hopeful that the announcement of this reward will provide further information which could advance the investigation.
