Road Rage Incident – Percy Street, Bellerive

Police are investigating a road rage incident in Bellerive this morning during which a driver was allegedly threatened by another motorist holding a knife.

 

Police were called to a disturbance in Percy Street, Bellerive opposite the Bakery about 11.30am today.

 

Two vehicles were involved being a white Toyota Hilux and a white Toyota Camry. The driver of the white Toyota Camry was in possession of a knife and yelling at the occupant of the Toyota Hilux.

 

The driver of Toyota Camry left the scene and was intercepted a short time later by police. The driver was a 29 year old Glenorchy man and was arrested for behaving in a violent manner in a public place and possessing of a dangerous article in a public place. The man was bailed to appear at the Hobart Magistrates Court.
