Search continues for prison escapee

An extensive police search is continuing this morning for prison escapee Graham John Enniss, 38.

 

Significant police resources, including the Westpac Rescue Helicopter and drones, were used in the search for Enniss in the wider Risdon Vale and Geilston Bay areas overnight.

 

“Police also conducted foot searches using specialist and uniform personnel, as well as maintained a lockdown of vehicles in Risdon Vale area using road blocks,” Acting Commander Jason Elmer said.

 

“There have been no confirmed sightings since his escape yesterday morning and today we are continuing to follow up information from members of the public as well as conducting searches both on foot and in the air.

 

“We urge anyone who witnesses suspicious activity in the greater Risdon Vale  and Geilston Bay areas to come forward and contact police or Crime Stoppers immediately.”

 

People in the Risdon Vale/Geilston Bay areas are advised to make sure their vehicles and properties are secure.  Members of the public are urged not to approach Enniss.

 

Enniss was last seen wearing dark coloured trackpants, a dark green jumper and is described as 180cm, of solid build and around 80 kg.

 

Enniss has a distinctive tattoo across his neck saying “Thug” and is clean shaven.
