Search in Runnymede Area

At 9.00am on Sunday 18 April, police and emergency services conducted a search in the Runnymede area for a 51 year old woman who had been involved in a single vehicle crash on the Tasman Highway.

The woman had become disoriented after the crash and wondered into bushland trying to seek assistance from nearby homesteads.

The woman was found safe and well at 3.00pm in bushland in the Runnymede area about 500 meters south of the Tasman Highway. She was conveyed to the Royal Hobart Hospital for observation.

Tasmania Police would like to thank the community for their assistance in supporting the safe operation of emergency services including the Westpac Rescue Helicopter.
