Serious Motor Vehicle Crash – Bass Highway Wivenhoe

At 3.50 pm on Monday the 14th October 2019, police were advised of a crash involving a large freezer truck and a single cyclist on the Bass Highway at Wivenhoe.

East bound traffic on the Bass Highway was severely delayed whilst police and Tas Ambulance attended the scene.

Heavy Vehicle Regulations Officers were advised and attended the scene.

The male cyclist aged 45 years was conveyed to the North West Regional Hospital and is in a serious but stable condition.

The truck driver a male aged 51 years was not injured as a result of the crash.
