At approximately 4:40pm on Saturday 4th February 2023, Police and ambulance attended a report of a single vehicle crash in Terrylands Street, Burnie, involving a 36 year old male from Burnie.

Investigations revealed the male had been riding an unregistered quadbike on Terrylands Street when he lost control, colliding with a cement retaining wall.

As a result of the crash the male received serious internal injuries. He was transported to the North West Regional Hospital where he was stabilised and flown to Hobart for further treatment.

The crash is under investigation by Burnie Police.
