Police are investigating a serious single vehicle crash that occurred on Lilydale Road, Underwood on Saturday, 13 June 2026.

At approximately 8:00pm, emergency services were called to a crash approximately 5km North of Rocherlea.

Initial investigations indicate a blue Subaru Impreza was travelling south on Lilydale Road at speed before leaving the roadway and impacting a rock wall after negotiating a slight right-hand bend. The vehicle came to rest in the middle of the roadway.

Four occupants were located at the scene and transported by ambulance to Launceston General Hospital for treatment.

An 18-year-old woman sustained serious but stable injuries. Three other teenagers also sustained injuries.

Lilydale Road was closed for approximately four hours while the scene was examined by specialist crash investigators and forensic officers. Road Safety (Alcohol and Drugs) blood samples were obtained from the occupants as part of ongoing enquiries.
