Suspicious Vehicle fires in Rokeby and Clarendonvale

Bellerive Police are investigating three separate vehicle fires that occurred in Rokeby and Clarendonvale in the early hours of this morning.

Police and the Tasmania Fire Service responded to the first vehicle fire in Landers Circle, Rokeby, about 2.20am, followed by the second vehicle fire on South Arm Road, Rokeby, about 3.05am, and finally the third vehicle fire in Rockingham Drive, Clarendonvale, about 3.40am.

No persons have been injured as a result of the vehicle fires. Police believe these events are related.

Police and the Tasmania Fire Service also responded to a fire at a vacant property in Mockridge Road, Clarendonvale, about 04.45am.

No one was injured as a result of the structure fire. The cause of this fire is yet to be determined and it is not known whether this event is directly linked to the vehicle fires in the area.

Police urge members of the public who may have witnessed any suspicious activity at the time of the fires or who may have information relevant to the investigations to call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
