Trevallyn man charged with over 50 offences

A 33 year old Trevallyn man has been charged with over 50 offences including aggravated burglary, motor vehicle stealing, computer fraud and evading police.

 

The man was arrested on Monday 1 April and interviewed by members of Operation Raptor, which is a joint Northern District initiative between Northern CIB and Uniform Division personnel aimed at targeting recidivist offenders.

 

The man was charged with:

Aggravated burglary. (Dwelling) x 2

Burglary x 8

Stealing x 12

Motor Vehicle Stealing x 7

Breach of bail x 5

Computer Related Fraud x 10

Drive while disqualified (Vehicle and Traffic Act) x 5

Evade Police (Aggravated Circumstances) x 1

Receiving stolen property x 1

 

Police allege the crimes were committed in Northern and Western Districts between January and March 2019.

 

The man has been remanded in custody and will appear in the Launceston Magistrates Court on 17 April.
