Two people have been charged and are awaiting court in relation to a serious assault that occurred in St George’s Square, Sorell.

The two men, aged 19 and 32, have been charged with causing grievous bodily harm after they assaulted a 51 year old male at approximately 3:00pm on Wednesday 10^th March 2021.

The male received significant head injuries after being hit with a blunt object and is currently in a serious condition.

The two men will appear in the Hobart Magistrates Court during the morning of 11 March 2021.

All involved are known to each other.
