Two men charged following Invermay incidents

A 24-year-old Legana man has been charged with motor vehicle stealing, evade police and other dishonesty matters following an incident in Invermay on Friday morning.

He was arrested shortly after a stolen Nissan Pulsar was dumped in Evans Street, Invermay about 9am on Friday, 3 April 2020.

A second man, a 24-year-old man from Ravenswood, has also been charged following the theft of a car from an Invermay car yard a short time after the initial incident.

He has been charged with a range of offences including armed robbery, assault and offences against police.

The car, a 2014 red Mitsubishi Outlander (registration D79ZN), has not been located.

Both men are expected to appear in the Launceston Magistrates Court this afternoon.
