Two men charged with meat thefts
On Sunday the 8th of August 2010 Devonport police officers recovered a quantity of stolen meat products. Further investigations confirmed that the meat products had been stolen from supermarkets across the north of Tasmania, from Scottsdale through to Ulverstone.
An 18 year old Waverly man and a 40 year old Mathinna man were interviewed and charged with stealing the meat products.
The 40 year old man will appear in the Launceston Magistrates Court on 29 September, and the 18 year old man will appear in the Devonport Magistrates Court on 21st of September.
