Two people charged for serious assault at Glenorchy

Police have charged two people following an incident at Glenorchy Central shopping centre around 6.10pm last night where a male employee of the centre was seriously assaulted.

The employee was assaulted by a man and woman who had entered the centre as businesses were closing. He was taken to the Royal Hobart Hospital for medical treatment for serious facial injuries.

Police will allege the incident was an unprovoked targeted attack.  

A man and woman, both 27-years-old and from Dodges Ferry, have been charged with Assault. They have been bailed to appear before the Hobart Magistrates Court at a later date.
