Two Vehicle Crash – Midland Highway, Devon Hills

At 10 am on Monday 28^th of Decmber 2015, a gold Toyota Camry sedan and a white Volkswagon Golf hatch, were involved in a head on collision on the Midland Highway, between Devon Hills and the Breadalbane Roundabout.

As a result of this incident the seven occupants of the vehicles involved, including the 49 year old female driver of the gold Camry from Perth and the 32yr old male driver of the VW Golf from Victoria, were transported to the Launceston General Hospital for treatment of serious but non life threatening injuries.

The exact details of the cause of the crash are now being investigated by Tasmania Police, however early information indicates the gold Toyota Camry sedan had crossed on to the incorrect side of the road prior to impact.  Traffic was disrupted in both directions for approximately 2hrs.
