Around midnight on 29/12/13 Tasmania Police attended a unit fire at Pioneer Parade, Ravenswood.  The unit was well ablaze when Tasmania Police and Tasmania Fire Service attended, with approximately $180,000 damage caused as a result of the fire.  The cause of the fire is undetermined and Tasmania Police and Tasmania Fire Service will be investigating the cause of the fire.  The occupant of the unit was not home at the time of the fire and no persons were injured as a result of the fire.
