West Tamar Highway crash

At about 9:30 am this morning a two vehicle crash occurred on the West Tamar Highway near Lanena.

Initial investigations by Tasmania Police indicate that the driver of a red Toyota Corolla travelling north has veered into the south-bound lane of the Highway and collided head-on with a Honda CR-V station wagon.

One of the drivers, a 21 year old Gravelly Beach woman, was admitted to hospital with facial and leg injuries. She is in a stable condition. The other driver escaped injury.

The crash is being investigated by Tasmania Police and any witnesses are encouraged to contact Launceston Police on (03) 6336 3945.
