Woman arrested following extensive shop stealing investigation
Glenorchy Police have arrested and charged a 21-year-old woman in relation to a series of alleged property offences committed across the Greater Hobart area to the approximate value of $8,650.00.
The woman has been charged with 13 counts of stealing and 3 counts of contravening the conditions of a notice following an investigation into numerous incidents that allegedly occurred between 21 May and 9 August 2026.
Police allege the offences were committed at various locations throughout the Hobart region and formed part of an ongoing pattern of offending. The woman was arrested by Glenorchy Police and charged with 13 counts of stealing and 3 counts of contravening the conditions of a notice.
She was remanded in custody and is due to appear before the Hobart Magistrates Court 23 August 2026.
